Leading wire forming machine manufacturer specializing in the development of welding technology.
Wire basket inspection after welding needs to follow the product beyond the fixture. Clamps can temporarily hold the required shape, while release, cooling and later finishing can change the dimensions that matter to assembly. For buyers evaluating equipment after Canton Fair meetings, the trial should end with a documented fit check against the intended mating parts.
Mark the dimensions that control how the basket fits its frame, runners, brackets or cabinet opening. Identify the drawing datums, measurement points and inspection state. Overall width alone may not capture a displaced mounting feature or a local interference at a welded corner.
Define which checks apply to a free basket and which apply after installation. A functional gauge can provide useful evidence of fit, but its result should not be reported as an unconstrained dimensional measurement. Agree the gauge revision and verification method along with the product drawing.
For a mesh-panel stage, the storage rack bottom mesh welding machine offers a relevant equipment reference, subject to confirmation that the proposed panel and wire specification fit the offered configuration. It is a storage-rack mesh product; its suitability for a particular basket bottom requires a drawing review rather than an assumption.
For basket joining, review the CNC spot welding machine for cabinet baskets and ask which joints are welded in that operation. Confirm loading, locating, electrode access and any welds completed elsewhere. The inspection plan must follow the complete basket route, even if the quotation covers only one machine or stage.
Identify each sample before welding. Inspect the incoming frame and component geometry first, then record any agreed in-fixture observations. After welding, release and cool the assembly using the documented process before performing the free-state acceptance checks. State the cooling or temperature condition so comparisons remain meaningful.
At each stage, record width and length at defined locations, mounting-feature positions and the required flatness or profile checks. For a nominally rectangular frame, diagonal measurements can help screen shape changes, but equal diagonals alone do not prove every corner angle or interface is correct. Use the methods required by the drawing.
Use the same support points and measurement force for comparable readings. Flexible wire structures can move under a gauge or operator hand, creating differences that are not caused by welding. Record the instrument, gauge and sample orientation; repeat a disputed measurement with an agreed method before adjusting the process.
If the free basket differs from the fixture-held shape, keep both results and investigate the process stage where movement appears. The guide to reducing wire mesh deformation during resistance welding explains relevant contributors such as incoming geometry, restraint and weld sequence. Avoid treating every dimensional deviation as a reason to increase clamping force.
Use approved mating components or a verified fixture that represents the actual interfaces. Record their part numbers and revisions. Check insertion, attachment alignment, clearances and the intended movement without using unapproved force to make the basket fit. Note any manual correction required; a corrected assembly is a separate process condition.
If the basket operates on runners, define the travel and loading condition for the test with the product owner. Passing a dimensional fit check does not establish structural load capacity or service life. Those requirements need their own agreed test methods and acceptance evidence.
Where coating or plating occurs after welding, agree whether the final dimensional approval must be repeated after finishing. Record the condition of the tested sample so an unfinished trial is not mistaken for complete finished-product qualification.
Inspect accessible wire ends and joints using an agreed safe method. The article on reducing burrs and improving cabinet basket edge quality is relevant when edge condition requires correction. Confirm that any grinding or trimming step preserves the dimensions and joint requirements already approved; appearance rework should not silently invalidate the earlier inspection.
Use one record with columns for sample ID, stage, characteristic, drawing limit, method, measured result and disposition. Attach photographs of the locating arrangement and any failed interface. Separate dimensional nonconformities, assembly interference and edge defects so each issue has a clear corrective action and retest scope.
